Last week Gekko published its latest research study looking into the consumer buying habits, uses and frustrations with the latest Smart Home products. It revealed that 56% of people surveyed have been seduced into buying the latest must-have Smart Home technology but don’t know how to operate it.
The Smart Home category is experiencing tremendous consumer interest and growth and retail value is expected to reach £5.11b worldwide this year. There’s an opportunity for bricks and mortar retailers to demystify Smart Home devices and become the shop of choice for consumers in Smart Home tech.
