Finance & People Director

Ready to lead the charge on building an efficient Finance, HR & Recruitment function for an evolving, progressive Marketing Agency.

Gekko Group is looking for an experienced Finance professional to join our team. This is your chance to lead the way in building efficiencies and sharing knowledge about how to cut through on financial management, HR effectiveness and Recruitment outreach. With a Recruitment Manager and an HR Manager in place reporting into you alongside a Purchase Ledger & a Payroll Executive, you'll work closely with our Managing Director, helping to build strong relationships, head up a talented team, and leverage your experience to bring new ideas and growth towards achieving ambitious business targets.

Our teams work collaboratively to bring energy, enthusiasm, and experience to every interaction.

Your Package:

• A salary up to £60,000 (DOE), plus a bonus and car allowance.

• A permanent spot on our team (Monday-Friday).

• Hybrid working: 4 days in our Newbury office working from home every Friday.

• 22 days holiday (increasing to 25 days based on tenure) + bank holidays + buy & sell holiday options.

Your Role:

• Head up the Finance, Facilities, HR & Recruitment function working with existing team members to develop their skill sets and the effectiveness of the business in profitability and people management.

• Guiding our strategy across different activities whilst controlling the P&L in line with ever changing trends, costs and budget parameters.

• Managing the P&L, Forecasts and Management Accounts accurately and smartly to enable the smooth running of a successful business.

• Turning insights into initiatives that improve performance and profitability.

• Leading and supporting your team to do their best work and showing others how to be commercially smart when it comes to client budgets.

Sound like you? We’re looking for:

• Experience in Finance from any sector. HR experience is an ideal addition.

• Proven experience in Sage and creating a stellar set of Management Accounts and healthy balance sheet.

• Great communication skills and an eye for detail with a commercial mindset.

• Experience leading and motivating a team, building strong external and internal relationships.
